Háifoss – Into the Canyon

One of the most dramatic waterfalls I photographed during my trip around Iceland. Háifoss plunges 122 metres from the Fossá river into the rugged canyon below. I deliberately included the lone figure on the cliff edge to give a real sense of the enormous scale of the landscape. Visit South Iceland

The moody sky, layers of volcanic rock and bright white water made this one of those classic wild Icelandic scenes.
